For the covering classes you need to bring a fruitcake This is an informative one-day foundation course, which covers many basic skills and includes: -
Preparation of your cake, covering in marzipan and sugar paste, explanations of the different marzipans / icings / dusts / colourings, Royal icing shell work, and basic writing. There are two dates for this class and the content is slightly different in each. The second class will be focusing on a Christmas design You will take home your decorated cake.6" round cake required. This one-day foundation course in sugar flowers covers all the basic techniques. You will make a carnation, roses and rosebuds, progressing onto cutter blossoms, pulled flowers and cutter flowers, wired rose leaves and small wired roses. You will learn to dust flowers and leaves. | | SIMPLE FLOWERS AND OTHER DECORATIONS

| | FRANCES MCNAUGHTON WINTER FLOWER SPRAY
Saturday October 30th 10am to 4pm
An area that Frances is particularly well known for is sugar flower making using the Franklin 'Softly Softly' method where flower petals are wired separately and taped together while still soft for beautifully realistic effects. You will be making Christmas Rose, Hypericum berries, Chinese Lantern and Ivy.
